Research Interests

Tactile Touch & Proprioception

After my PhD I moved to Chicago where I now reside to do primate research focusing on the medial leminiscal pathway and how its components transform tactile and proprioceptive information which eventually give rise to the perception of touch, texture, and sense of body position.

Spinal Cord Pain Mechanisms

During my PhD at the University of Nottingham I developed a technique for recording activity across the laminae of the spinal dorsal horn with the goal of better understanding how it processes sensory input. Since then I have continued to collaborate with my colleagues there.
